McKenzie Burns

McKenzie Burns received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and Au.D. Degree from Auburn University. She joined the Ability Research Lab in 2021 and presented a poster entitled "Cultural Similarities and Differences in Functioning and Disability among People with Hearing Loss: Lesson from a HEAR-COMMAND Tool" at Auburn's 2023 Student Research Symposium. The poster was Recognized and Awarded. Her professional goal is to improve children's and their families' quality of life by improving their communication abilities.

Kelleen Wegener

Kelleen Wegener received her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Ohio University. Kelleen was involved in a research project to develop an international questionnaire that evaluates hearing loss, communication, and vestibular difficulties. She joined the Ability Research Lab in 2021 and presented a poster entitled “Problems in Functioning Related to Dizziness and Balance Difficulty in Individuals with Hearing Loss in a Biopsychosocial Context Underpinning the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF)” at the 2023 American Balance Society Conference. Her professional goal is to continue specializing in vestibular diagnostic testing for patients of all age ranges.

Mahmoud Salah Eldien Mokhtar Hammady

Mahmoud received his Bachelor degree in Medicin and his Master's degree in Audiovestibular medicine at the Audiovestibular medicine unit, at Sohag University Hospitals, Egypt. He joined the Ability Research Lab in 2021 and presented a poster entitled "Disabling Hearing Loss in the Middle East: A Need for a Comprehensive Examination through the Lens of the International Classification of Functioning and Disability (ICF) Model" at the 9th Scientific Conference for Young Researchers in Egypt. His professional goal is to pursue a Ph.D. in Audiovestibular medicine and continue specializing in improving the quality of life of individuals with hearing loss.
