Three CLA programs taking part in Path to the Plains

Auburn Logo

Southern Union students who wish to complete an Auburn degree now have three program options in the College of Liberal Arts: social work, public relations and health services administration.

Path to the Plains, or P2P, offers an affordable and accessible pathway to Auburn University. The partnership between Auburn University and Southern Union State Community College is designed around specific degree programs for students who aspire to transfer to Auburn after completing the requirements for an associate degree at Southern Union.

Students apply through the Path to the Plains application at Southern Union into their intended degree programs. During the first two years of the program, students complete general education classes for an associate degree at Southern Union, while simultaneously enrolling in at least one course at Auburn University each semester. Upon successful completion of coursework and program requirements, students transfer to Auburn to complete their bachelor’s degrees in their designated programs.

For more details about the P2P program, see the Path to the Plains website.
