Public Relations Advisory Council hosts Spring Speaker Day

Students in the Melton Student Center

The Auburn University School of Communication and Journalism held the Spring PR Speaker Series on Friday, Feb. 16. This event featured a lineup of renowned Auburn alumni who shared their insights and experiences in the public relations field. Those attending could listen to an Interview 101 panel, participate in a LinkedIn workshop and network with the speakers.

The panel included Emily Rock, HR Associate at Jackson Spalding; Kaylee Estes, founder of Estes Group; Chelsea Grund, brand social media director at UPS; Gabrielle Ferree, VP of Global Communications at Bumble Inc; and Ally Dorrough, communications and marketing manager at Orange Beach Sports & Events.

The speakers for this event were incredibly insightful and benefited the minds of Auburn Public Relations students. The LinkedIn workshop, led by Gabrielle Ferree, allowed attendees to receive constructive criticism and discuss the importance of building a professional LinkedIn profile. The workshop also included a live review of Maddie Soetebeer and Weston Ball's LinkedIn profiles.
