Which class has been your favorite at Auburn so far?

The Virgin Always Lives: Gender, Sexuality, and Horror (a women’s studies course). The class was fun and really gave me an opportunity to look at something I love (the horror genre) in a whole new light.

What is the best technology-based resource at Auburn?

For me, the best technology-based resource has been AU Access. AU Access has everything you need all in one place. It gives you the ability to find just about anything you’ll need to register, schedule plan, credit check, and so much more.

What do you wish someone had told you before you started as a student at Auburn?

I wish someone had told me not to overwork myself. It’s so easy to become caught up in trying to take as many classes as you can in an attempt to get it all done. However, doing this just makes it that much harder to balance school, work, and a social life. Slow down. Enjoy your years at Auburn. Know that it’s okay to not be able to do everything at once.

Where are your favorite places to study on campus?

Definitely the library basement. There are study rooms you can reserve as well as lots of booths. The basement is quiet and gives you the opportunity to really focus on what you need to get done.

How have you been able to maintain your social and academic involvement during the COVID pandemic?

COVID has really changed everyone’s social and academic involvement. However, Auburn has been great at adapting. I’ve been able to attend multiple social functions as well as set up meetings with teachers on Zoom. I’ve also made sure to keep a detailed planner. Having a planner and writing down when I need to be on campus, when my classes are virtual, and when there are events happening has been very helpful.
