The Department of Music is the first collegiate chapter in Alabama to partner with United Sound, Inc. We have also partnered with the Auburn University EAGLES Program to provide musical performance experiences for students with special needs through peer mentorship. With assistance from student volunteers (Auburn Music Peer Mentors), New Musicians learn to play the instrument of their choice at a personally modified level.
United Sound
United Sound is a school-based instrumental music club for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and their typical peers. Dedicated to promoting social involvement through shared ensemble performance experience, United Sound joins students with and without disabilities to learn and perform in the band or orchestra together. For additional information please visit the United Sound, Inc. official website.
Eagles Program

The program provides a postsecondary education opportunity for students to engage in a two-year (four semester) residential campus experience.
