About Henry Thompson
Professor Emeritus of Economics
Henry Thompson specializes in general equilibrium trade theory. His research, published in over 120 articles, ranks in the top 5% in Research Papers in Economics. He has given over 160 university seminars and presentations. His successful textbook International Economics is in its 4th edition. He is an honorary and founding member of the International Economics and Finance Society. He has associations with the Universities of Zagreb, Peloponnese, Athens, and Macedonia. He actively serves as referee and board member for a number of journals. He has chaired 18 PhD dissertations and 16 MS theses. Thompson received his PhD from the University of Houston under Roy Ruffin. He also does consulting in energy economics. His wife is artist Madeline Simos, daughter Stacy in Houston, and son Alexi at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
