About Me

Lydia Allison is an assistant clinical professor in speech-language pathology at Auburn University. She provides instruction and supervision for graduate students completing clinical practicum at the AUSHC.

Allison received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Auburn University. Prior to joining the faculty, she worked as a speech-language pathologist in the acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings, working primarily with adults with neurogenic communication and swallowing disorders. She also has experience completing clinical and instrumental feeding evaluations for the birth-adolescent population. Her clinical interests include cognitive-communication deficits following acquired brain injury and adult and pediatric dysphagia. She is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist.
