- Pebble Hill Renovation and New Addition

Construction has begun for a renovation and addition to Pebble Hill. Pebble Hill, also known as the Scott-Yarbrough House, is an 1847 antebellum cottage in Auburn, Alabama listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It currently serves as the home of the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities in the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University.

- Making History Public in Mobile

Join us on Thursday, April 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the History Museum of Mobile to learn about publishing Alabama history from the staff of Alabama Heritage, The Alabama Review, Encyclopedia of Alabama, NewSouth Books, and the University of Alabama Press. Anyone interested in publishing historical research is invited to attend this workshop.

- Breeden Scholar and MacArthur Fellow Rick Lowe to Speak at Rosa Parks Museum

On Wednesday, March 18, the public is invited to a talk by artist Rick Lowe. “Socially and Community Engaged Art: The Genuine and the Artificial,” will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Rosa Parks Museum. The free program will be followed by a reception.
