The public is invited to a book talk by Jerry Armor, author of A Home for Wayward Boys: The Early History of the Alabama Boys’ Industrial School, on Thursday, March 19 at 3:00 p.m. in the Caroline Marshall Draughon Auditorium of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library. A special introduction will be given by Dr. Wayne Flynt, Auburn University Professor Emeritus of History, who wrote the forward to the book.

Rev. Dr. Bernard LaFayette, Jr., co-founder of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), will discuss his new memoir, In Peace and Freedom: My Journey in Selma, on Wednesday, March 4 at noon at the Tuskegee History Center (104 South Elm Street, Tuskegee.) Books will be available for purchase and signing. Rev. Dr. LaFayette will discuss his time as a leader of the civil rights movement in Nashville, TN and Selma, AL.
