Community Quilt Groups Invited to Participate in Symposium at Pebble Hill, May 14-15

Local quilt groups in the state of Alabama are invited to exhibit a community quilt on Thursday, May 14 and Friday, May 15 at the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities at Pebble Hill in Auburn as part of a symposium on Alabama quilts and their makers.  

Quilts will be exhibited for the public from 3 to 6 PM on Thursday, May 14, and for symposium participants on Friday, May 15.  Quilts will be displayed inside the historic Scott-Yarbrough House or courtyard, weather permitting, following a workshop on “Care of Historic Quilts: Best Practices for Preservation” led by Ryan Blocker of the Alabama Department of Archives and History.
