Auburn-Opelika Men's Camellia Club Spring Camellia Show
The Auburn-Opelika Men’s Camellia Club will host their annual Spring Camellia Show at the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities at Pebble Hill on Saturday, February 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The show is free and open to the public and will include a plant sale, presentations, and workshops.
At noon, the Auburn-Opelika Men’s Camellia Club will be dedicating the Tom Corley Camellia Garden at Pebble Hill. The garden will contain primarily camellias named for local people or varieties that bear local names.
The Auburn-Opelika Men’s Camellia Club was founded in 1959 for the purpose of “...sharing the fun and pleasure of growing Camellias with others.” (Tom Corley, Camellia Journal). The Club meets every month in the Auburn-Opelika area and hosts special events such as workshops and camellia shows.
