Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Clinical Neuroscience


Position:  The Department of Psychology at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor beginning fall semester, August 16, 2018.


Responsibilities: Candidates will contribute to the education and training of undergraduate and graduate students, including teaching courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Candidates are expected to maintain a strong research program, with potential for extramural funding.


Requirements/Qualifications: Candidates should have an independent research program in clinical neuroscience, broadly defined, and research interests that complement one or more of the graduate program areas in the Department of Psychology (Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences, Clinical Psychology, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and/or Applied Behavior Analysis) is highly desired. A strong record of publications, and a high potential for external funding is required. Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field. Clinical Psychology candidates must have a degree from an APA accredited program and be license eligible in Alabama. ABD candidates will be considered but must have Ph.D. by start date or offer will be withdrawn. Auburn University has state-of-the-art resources for clinical neuroscience research, including the Auburn University MRI Research Center. The Auburn University Psychological Services Center also offers opportunities for program development and providing supervision in the area of clinical neuropsychology.


The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment; excellent communication skills required.
