Jean Phillippe “Tres” Bodet, III a senior Honors College student with a double major in Psychology and Communication and a minor in French has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Belgium where he will serve as an English Teaching Assistant.
A native of Mobile, Tres serves as a research assistant to Dr. Jennifer Robinson in the Department of Psychology’s Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience Lab. Tres’ research examines the neural systems that support bilingualism.
In addition to his extensive undergraduate research, Tres has interned and studied abroad in Montreal, Canada and Aix-en-Provence, France; he served as a peer tutor – History and French - with Study Partners; a writing consultant with the Miller Writing Center, and; as a manager with the Auburn Track and Field Team.
The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic or professional achievement, as well as demonstrated leadership potential.
