About Allison Fritz

My work focuses generally in the area of environmental philosophy.  Specifically I work at the intersection of environmental aesthetics, environmental ethics, the relationship between value and the emotions, and the implications of aesthetic theory for environment policy.  Currently I am investigating the role of environmental aesthetic value in political decision-making concerning conservation policy. In particular I wish to integrate recent theories and research from political psychology and moral foundations theory in order to shine light on the different ways in which people conceptualize and react to aesthetic value and threats to that value.
