Where are your favorite places to study on campus?
I prefer getting a room in the library. I learn primarily through writing and talking about a subject with people, so the study rooms are a great resource for me. I also like going to the involvement suite during finals and midterms.

What tips would you give a student about registration?
There is no need to freak out. You’re going to get the classes you need, it may just not be when you want it. We have great advisors that will help you through everything step-by-step, so never feel like you’re on your own.

How did you choose your major?
I was originally a marketing major, but quickly decided that I wanted something more personable - so when I came across public relations, I knew it was for me. It contained the people-based aspects with the business mindset that I was looking for, and I haven’t doubted my major ever since.

Which organizations do you participate in as a student?
I am involved in multiple organizations including the Economics Club, Alabama Rural Ministry, and Open Hands Overflowing Hearts. These are great organizations that have major impacts on the local community.

What are your career plans after college?
I plan to go into media relations or sports media after college. I’d really like to be a spokesperson for a professional team, preferably the Baltimore Ravens, or a college athletic department. I love sports and I love talking so having a job where all I do is talk about sports would be ideal.
