WATCH: Journalism-Sports Production video named finalist for 2024 Student Production Awards
Journalism-Sports Production senior Zach Grant's "Dangerous – The Robb Taylor Mindset" was nominated as one of four finalists in the Sports Story or Segment category of the 2024 Student Production Awards from the southeast chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The project features Auburn Wheelchair Basketball Head Coach Robb Taylor and several athletes, focusing on the work ethic Taylor and his team bring to every aspect of life.
Grant produced the video in Journalism-Sports Production Lecturer John Mitchell's Sports Storytelling and Video Profiles course. Mitchell said the work exemplifies the sports production program's commitment to preparing students to enter the creative sports video industry as storytellers by teaching with industry-standard equipment and building critical skills such as professional editing practices.
Grant completed "Dangerous – The Robb Taylor Mindset" alongside journalism seniors Colin Beyersdorf, Amanda Davidson, Jones Dyleski and JD Free.
