New Faculty Violinist to Perform on Thursday, April 2
On Thursday, April 2 at 7:30 pm, the newest Department of Music faculty member Guy Harrison, violin, with Jeremy Samolesky, piano, will perform a recital in Goodwin Recital Hall. He has performed extensively with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, Lansing Symphony Orchestra, and the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra. Before moving to the United States, Harrison performed regularly with both the Adelaide and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras in Australia. This recital will include works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Peter Sculthorpe, César Franck, and Henryk Wieniawski.
Advanced tickets are available online for all patrons (students and non-students) at $10 per ticket, available until noon the day before the event. Patrons will need to bring one form of ID to pick up their ticket from the will-call table set up one hour before the event begins. The name on the ID must match the name on the order. If advanced tickets are not picked up by fifteen minutes prior to the event, the department reserves the right to resell them to waiting patrons. Regular tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for students and children, and will be sold at the door one hour prior to performance time.
