The application and registration fee can be processed throughwww.auburn.edu/music/all-state-workshop.
The Auburn University All-State Workshop is designed to help students enhance their audition and performance skills. The workshop will include a variety of topics that target each element of the Alabama all-state audition: scales, technique, phrasing, and sight-reading. Students will be coached on specifics related to each required etude, and suggestions for improvement and sight-reading practice techniques will be provided. Faculty performers will discuss the audition process from both the performer and adjudicator perspectives.
The Auburn University Instrumental Studios offer many opportunities to those interested in pursuing music degrees. Music majors receive individual instruction, which enhances their skills as performers and musicians. Guest artists are often invited to present master classes, give performances, and work with students. Performing opportunities are abundant on and off campus. Students regularly perform as soloists as well as in chamber groups and larger ensembles, such as orchestra and band. Music graduates have successful placement records in jobs and graduate schools.
Auburn University offers the Bachelor of Music (performance), Bachelor of Arts in Music, and Bachelor of Music Education degrees. For more information about the AU All-State Workshop (www.auburn.edu/music/all-state-workshop) or music at Auburn University, visit our website at www.auburn.edu/music.
