AU Brass Ensembles Concert on Monday, Nov 5
Four brass ensembles from the Department of Music will perform two concerts on Monday, November 9, at 6 and 7:30 pm in Goodwin Recital Hall.
The Trombone Choir and Tuba/Euphonium Ensembles will perform at 6:00 pm under the direction of Matt Wood, low brass professor. For this programs, selected pieces include arranged works by Saint-Saëns, Wagner, and Holst, as well as a piece entitled “John Williams Is the Man,” arranged by music education major Elijah Clark.
The Dean’s Brass Quintet and Trumpet Ensemble will perform at 7:30 pm under the direction of Mark DeGoti, trumpet professor. This program will include exciting arrangements of Ave Maria, The James Bond Theme, and selections from West Side Story.
Advanced tickets are available online for all patrons (students and non-students) at $10 per ticket, available until day of the event. Patrons will need to bring one form of ID to pick up their ticket from the will-call table set up one hour before the event begins. The name on the ID must match the name on the order. If advanced tickets are not picked up by fifteen minutes prior to the event, the patron forfeits their right to a seat. Regular tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for students and children, and will be sold at the door one hour prior to performance time.
