Beginner  

Beginning students in the AU Music Project meet once per week in a large group class. During their first year, students learn the basics of string playing in classes taught by an AU faculty member and several undergraduate assistants. Beginning students do not need to be able to read music; we will teach them throughout the year.

Tuition: $150 per semester + book (+ instrument rental if necessary)

Day & Time: Tuesdays from 4:00 – 5:30 pm

Dates: Sept 5 – November 28

Location: Hayley Center

Concert Date: Tuesday November 28 @ 7:00pm

 

Intermediate  

In their 2nd year students will meet twice each week, once with their group class (Thursdays) and once with their AU Student Teacher for a 1-on-1 30-minute lesson.

Tuition: $150 per semester + book (+ instrument rental if necessary)

Days & Time: Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:30 pm

Dates: August 24 – November 28

Location: Goodwin Music Building

Concert Date: Tuesday November 28 @ 7:00pm

**Please note, students in the AU Music Project must enroll in their school orchestra program if one exists when they reach the appropriate age for membership.**

String Class enrollment takes place in the fall only.
