Programs of Study

The MTPC program offers two options for study: the Master of Technical and Professional Communication (MTPC) degree and the Graduate Certificate in Technical and Professional Communication.

The MTPC degree encompasses a minimum of 30 semester hours beyond the bachelor’s degree, including four required courses in technical and professional communication, three elective courses in English, and three courses in a coordinated minor. MTPC students must develop an academic portfolio, present the portfolio, and pass an oral exam to graduate.

The Graduate Certificate encompasses 12 semester hours of the most practical courses offered in the Technical and Professional Communication program.
