Enjoy writing? Like learning new technologies? Appreciate good design? Thrive as a member of a team?
Auburn University's Master of Technical and Professional Communication may be the graduate program for you.
Since the first students graduated in 2002, more than 60 students have earned MTPC degrees. Almost all of those students (more than 90%) are employed; many got jobs within a few weeks of graduation. According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, demand for technical communicators is expected to increase faster than the demand for other types of writers "because of the continuing expansion of scientific and technical information and the need to communicate it to others."
The MTPC program is a flexible, 30 credit-hour graduate program that prepares students for a great variety of positions as writers, editors, web developers and designers, information developers, proposal specialists, and corporate trainers, among others in this fast-growing field.
