Student places 2nd at Chinese Bridge Competition

Courtney Fair, an Asian Studies minor, won second place at the 15th annual Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition in Dallas, Texas, sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Education. In this competition, college students test their mastery of the Chinese language. Fourteen college students from eight southern states participated in this competition, and one student was picked for the first prize, two for second, and three for third. Courtney will have an opportunity to travel to Beijing this summer to see the final international Chinese Bridge Competition in Beijing this summer.
