Current-Garcia Award in Humanities:
Kiersten Wones, an English major who graduated this past Fall, receives The Auburn University Chapter of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi Current-Garcia Award in Humanities. This prestigious award is presented annually to a senior student. Candidates are drawn from art, English, foreign languages and literatures, history, philosophy, music, theatre, and graphic design. Criteria for the award are outstanding scholarship, activities, honors, and character. Nominations were made by Jim McKelly and Jeremy Downes.
English faculty members recognized with Auburn Author Awards:
Auburn University faculty members James Barth, Dawn Boothe, Steven Brown, William Franko, Bruce Murray, Robin Sabino and Hilary Wyss were the recipients of the 2013 Auburn Author Awards during a recent ceremony in the Special Collections and Archives Department of Draughon Library.
Breeden Endowed Grant:
And the Provost informed us that, Miriam Clark received a Breeden Endowed Grant for her work with ePortfolios.
