"Discovering Southern Humanities Review" writing workshops Feb. 23
The Southern Humanities Review will host "Discovering SHR" free writing workshops in poetry and fiction, by SHR contributors Elizabeth Bradfield and R. T. Smith, at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, Saturday, Feb. 23. "Querying the Object" with Bradfield is from 10 a.m. to noon and "A Local Habitation and a Name: Place and Voice in Fiction" with Smith is from 1-3 p.m. The workshops are open to the public. No advance preparation is necessary but seating is limited. For further details and to reserve a seat, e-mail shrengl@auburn.edu. At 6 p.m., The Gnu's Room will host a free reading by the presenters. "Discovering SHR" is sponsored by the Southern Humanities Review; the Department of English in the College of Liberal Arts; and Academic Sustainability Programs, Office of the Provost.
