About Henry Thompson
Professor of Economics
Henry Thompson specializes in international trade theory. His research in over 120 articles ranks in the top 5% in Research Papers in Economics. For details see his vita. He has given over 160 university seminars and research presentations worldwide. His successful textbook International Economics is in its 4th edition. He is an honorary and founding member of the International Economics and Finance Society and has been associated with the Universities of Zagreb, Peloponnese, Athens, and Macedonia. He actively serves as referee and board member for a number of economics journals, has chaired 18 PhD dissertations and 16 MS theses, and consults in energy economics. Thompson received his PhD from the University of Houston under Roy Ruffin and has been at Auburn since Frank Thomas arrived. His immediate family is wife and artist Madeline Simos, daughter Stacy in human resources in Houston, and son Alexi on the economics faculty at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
