Henry Thompson focuses on trade theory, international economics, and energy economics. His PhD is from the University of Houston and he has been at Auburn for 27 years. His successful textbook International Economics, Global Markets and Competition is entering its 4th edition. His academic research published in 120 articles is ranked in the top 13% worldwide by Research Papers in Economics. He has given over 155 university seminars and professional presentations worldwide. He is an active referee for a number of academic journals and editorial boards. He is an honorary and founding member of the International Economics and Finance Society and edits the emailed IEFS Newsletter.
