We invite anyone who is interested in the fields of speech-language pathology or audiology to join the Auburn Chapter of NSSLHA. This is not a class requirement, and students do not have to be CMDS majors. Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to join. Members must pay the $40 dues by the deadline early in the fall semester, or $20 early in the spring semester to join for the remainder of the year.
To join the National NSSLHA, an application can be picked up from the Speech and Hearing Clinic in the Haley Center. For more information, visit the National NSSLHA website.
NSSLHA's mission is to promote the awareness of speech-language pathology and audiology as professions and enrich the knowledge of the both undergraduate and graduate students. We invest in the Auburn community with festive events and philanthropic projects in order to gain exposure to interacting with populations which we may potentially serve as professionals in the near future. We meet monthly in order to plan events and projects as well as learn from guest speakers; both working professionals in the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology, and others who can provide valuable information on career settings as well as interview and resume building skills. NSSLHA allows CMDS students to enhance relations with faculty members and gain crucial knowledge pertaining to our field of study, research opportunities, and graduate school admissions.
