Born from the Black Studies Movement of the 1960s, Africana Studies today reflects a global engagement with diasporic blackness and encompasses the critical study of Black life within the Americas, Africa, the Caribbean and Europe. We equip you with a complex understanding of domestic and transnational blackness through courses on Black aesthetics, history, culture and politics.
